Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has returned to the squad in time for the difficult away game at Atletico Madrid in what’s the standout league game of week10 in the Spanish La Liga. Barcelona have announced the squad to prosecute the away game against the Rojiblancoson Saturday night.

Coutinho has been a regular in the Barcelona XI since Ronald Koeman was appointed the manager in the summer. He returned to Barcelona in the summer after a loan spell at Bayern Munich. He won three major trophies with the Bavarian giants before returning to Spain. At Bayern, he won the Champions League title and even played for the Germans against his parent club in the quarterfinals. The quarterfinal was memorable for Barcelona for all the wrong seasons as the club fell to a surprising 8-2 defeat to their opponents.

Since coming back from that loan spell, Coutinho has been able to repay the faith shown in him by Ronald Koeman with some very good performances especially in the opening weeks of the season. Brazilian international Coutinho has been injured for over three weeks and the injury ensured that he was not able to join the Brazil squad for their qualifiers. He was a notable absentee as the Brazilians continued their impressive start to the World Cup qualifiers with another set of wins thereby making it four victories on the bounce.

Coutinho was in the thick of the action as Brazil thrashed Bolivia 5-0 at home in their first qualifying game before they came from behind to beat Peru 4-2 away from homeon Matchday 2. Both games were played in October with the Barcelona player finding the back of the net in the first game.

Without him on Matchday 3 and Matchday 4, Brazil beat Venezuela and Uruguay respectively to maintain their perfect record in the qualifiers.
